Jumping Jellies

Installation aboard the Bushwick Boat, New York City July, 2009.

The five holographic jellyfish are vertically animated, and viewed by jumping on a trampoline. The viewer and jellyfish elongate to propel themselves upward and then expand as they drop down. The viewer feels their own squishy parts expanding and contracting a sense that is heighten by seeing the animated jelly form.  The visual feeds the sensual, while simultaneously this sense gives the creatures a liveness.
